Mortal Kombat X is the latest installment in the renowned one-on-one fighting series, serving as the sequel to the 2011 hit Mortal Kombat. Staying true to the visual style and mechanics of its predecessor, the game features familiar controls based on punches, kicks, and blocking, allowing for the creation of intricate combos, uppercuts, teleports, and special moves involving weapons and fatalities. Players can utilize the three-tiered energy system from the previous title to unleash X-Ray moves, powered up EX moves, and combo breakers.
